5 Broadgate is a 12-storey, commercial development in the heart of London’s
financial district. Providing over 700,000 sq ft of office space, it is the UK head office of Swiss investment
bank UBS.
ASG were appointed by UBS to carry out the internal stonework contract
for this £125m fit out scheme. The contract consisted of installing
approximately 5,500m2 of Oman Beige and Grigio Carnico flooring, cladding and staircases,
and the sealing and maintenance of all new stonework. In addition to the
stone, ASG also undertook the design, supply and installation of
the steel support walls that the stone cladding was fixed back to.
As Oman Beige is not used as frequently as many other limestones, we sourced
it directly from the Oman quarry ourselves. This meant we were in control of
every aspect of the stone procurement, from the quality of the blocks right
through to installation and maintenance.
